The master Performing Public Space (PPS, which will start in september 2017) is designed on interdisciplinary terms, giving access to practicing artists from different disciplines with an intention to enter the public space by their artistic means.
The master Performing Public Space offers students an intensive artistic research program, collaborative and creative dialogue with other international artists and an online learning environment to develop their own future artistic projects. The Master offers a supportive playfield to explore the complexities of public space and enrich the creation of artistic products with knowledge and insights of philosophical, social-political and entrepreneurial problems in the context different public areas.
The program of PPS is inspired by innovative developments in higher education. Therefore, the program explores multiple artistic strategies to research art in conceptual as well as executive phases. Furthermore, the program contains problem-based learning assignments and co-creational work opportunities. PPS is a one year Master program with intensive bootcamp education weeks, including theoretical guest lectures, LAB assignments and Best Practice Case Studies together with online individual learning assignments in research and project development.
