Overview

Sheffield is a national centre for this kind of research. Meet the growing need in industry for advanced skills in electronic and photonic component engineering. If you have a numerate background or already work in industry, this course will upgrade your skills.

For our MSc students, working in the UIII-V semiconductor facility is the highlight of this fascinating, challenging course. You will attend tutorials and carry out practical work in the III-V.

There are lectures, laboratories, seminars and tutorials. You will also plan and deliver your own research project. We assess you on exams, coursework or reports and a dissertation with poster presentation.
