The MA aims to offer you knowledge and skills that will expand your intellectual range and make you ready for doctoral research. It introduces skills such as documentary filmmaking, critical analysis, and new discipline knowledge that will enhance your CV and provide fresh challenges.
The purpose of the MA is to ground and enhance your knowledge of Cultural History. We define this concept broadly to mean studying peoples, places and ideas, as well as exploring meaning of cultural forms (e.g. fine art, architecture, comics, television, cinema and graphic novels). Students will take a core module that analyses famous thinkers in the field, and then select modules that reflect our staff team’s research specialisms. The programme is delighted to announce that we are teaching the programme in collaboration with our partners The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Pallant House Gallery and the Otter Gallery.
