Overview

COURSE SUMMARY

By the end of this degree, with some additional work experience,
you’ll be equipped for a range of careers in the expanding field of
health and social care, notably direct work with users of health and
social care services – children and families, young people, drug and
alcohol abusers, people with mental health problems, older and
disabled people.

Career openings also exist in health promotion, welfare, community
development and liaison roles and the voluntary sector. Successful
graduates will also be eligible to apply for entry to the MSc in
Social Work, in order to qualify as a social worker.

The course attracts students from traditional and non-traditional
backgrounds, and members of staff have an enviable track record of
delivering friendly, accessible and effective teaching and study
support. There is also research methodology training at each level to
prepare you for undertaking an independent research project at stage
three. Alongside your academic studies, you will be supported to
develop key study, personal and professional skills.
