Are you interested in management and doing business? Do you want to know more about the business strategies of multinational corporations that operate in various countries? If so, then Business Administration might be the right Bachelor’s programme for you. You will look at the ins and outs of how a business operates and how businesses deal with internal and external changes. You will learn to analyse what can be improved in corporate management and what effects markets have on businesses. This programme is suited for people with a broad interest in conducting business and managing organisations.

Why study Business Administration?

- You will be taught a wider range of perspectives than ‘just’ economics or IT in organisations.
- More focus on acquiring research skills than in other business programmes in the Netherlands
- A personal approach to education and small-scale teaching
- Six months of studying or internship abroad as an optional or fixed part of the programme

Programme structure

Within the Bachelor’s of Business Administration, each year is divided into two semesters. Each semester is then divided into two blocks, during which you will have lectures and seminars. At the end of each block you will be expected to take exams to conclude the module. A certain number of study credits (ECTS) is contributed to each module.

During the first year, you will explore the content of the field of business administration. You will learn how the scientific field is related to the real world and you will get acquainted with research methods. At the end of the first year, you will conduct your own research project with fellow students.

After the first year of Business Administration, you will be asked to choose one of four available specialisations to explore certain topics further during the second and the third year.

In the third year you will continue taking specialisation courses. In addition, you will also be able to choose elective courses, or go abroad, so there is more room for own interests. It is also possible to do an internship instead of a course.
