You can gain industry and practical experience designing and delivering live events for real clients through our in-house events management agency, Solent Works. Student-led and student-run, the agency is your chance to get a real taste for the industry after you graduate.
And you will have plenty of other opportunities to develop your professional connections, too. The course team has strong local employer and organisational links, giving you chances to work on cultural, music and arts events across Southampton and the region, such as the city’s Mayflower 400 celebrations.
Solent events students are in high demand, working with key industry leaders in festivals and events management; past examples include LiveNation, Festival Republic, and the BBC, with students regularly working at Glastonbury and other nationally recognised festivals.
