Overview
In the past, selling fashion was largely restricted to shops; now we shop online, on our phones, and through official channels and social media. The fashion industry needs people who understand the rapidly shifting way that fashion is marketed. Through this Fashion Marketing and Retail Design degree, you’ll become part of a group of fashion students and graduates who are known for their skills, knowledge, professionalism and creative vision.
This Fashion degree is based in the heart of Cardiff, a city now known as one of the UK’s top shopping destinations, with both big brand, high street retailers in St David’s shopping centre, as well as boutique, independent shops in the famous Cardiff arcades.
You’ll be encouraged to think independently, experiment, try new ideas and achieve your aspirations. This approach offers the skills you need for a career in fashion retail and marketing, as well as the creative and technical ability to produce original materials for promotion across different media.
You can engage with industry through live briefs and work placements, giving you valuable industry experience. Previous partnerships have included Motel Rocks, John Lewis and Topshop. You could also take part in national and international trips to cities known for their cutting-edge approach to fashion and retail (additional costs apply).
