Overview

While working towards a Education, Inclusion and Special Educational Needs (BA Hons), we aim to help you develop a broad understanding and awareness of issues, concepts, ideas and theories relating to Education in its broadest sense. We will work with you to identify your own interests in the field of inclusion and special education and support you in working towards your own personal career goals.

The course will explore issues relating to inclusion and special educational needs including specific profiles such as ASD, Attachment, ADHD, Mental Health and Dyslexia. Alongside this, you will be encouraged to develop your own personal values and philosophies and debate the opportunities and challenges for inclusion.

You will be encouraged to make links between theory and practice both within the taught content and assignments, and whilst on placement.
