This course emphasises mathematical concepts, analytical techniques and makes use of industry-standard software to provide you with the sound knowledge to develop your technical and practical skills. It will enable you to effectively apply mathematics to solve real-world problems fundamental to many areas, e.g. business, finance, industry, medicine, science, government and education.
Graduates with both technical and practical skills are in high demand by employers. This course has been developed to meet the demands of industry for skilled mathematicians and statisticians. It has a strong emphasis on the applications of mathematics, statistics and operational research and uses industry-standard software to prepare you for graduate employment.
