Overview
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering designs and builds innovative commercial satellites which are launched into orbit – having pioneered the small satellite industry nearly 40 years ago – so our Electronic Engineering with Space Systems programmes give you a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from academics at the frontline of space engineering.
With our electronic engineering programmes ranked number two by The Guardian University Guide 2016, you can look forward to high-quality teaching and learning during your time as a student with us.
On these programmes you will build a core knowledge in electronics and programming, and then learn the fundamentals of space systems, satellite engineering, power and control, and space mission design. You will apply your knowledge through project work, which will give you the opportunity to work closely with academics from our Surrey Space Centre, and enable you to gain real world practical experience of the technologies that go into space missions.
