Overview
At Surrey you will learn about solving real world problems from academics who are experts in their fields. We’re home to some of the world’s leading centres of research in electronic communication (the 5G Innovation Centre), power and control engineering (our Surrey Space Centre), renewable energy (our Advanced Technology Institute) and signal processing (the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing).
These programmes will expose you to the latest developments in electrical and electronic engineering through high quality teaching, and via our laboratory, fabrication and 3D printing facilities. Surrey’s electronic engineering programmes were ranked number two by The Guardian University Guide 2016.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering degrees develop engineers with a firm grounding in electronics, plus the specialist skills required to work at the forefront of electrical engineering, power and control. After a common foundation year in electrical science and electronics you will go on to study specialist modules in topics such as electrical machines, power electronics, power engineering, renewable energy generation and control engineering.
