The Environmental Earth Science Degree (F640) is an exciting and rewarding subject involving the study of Planet Earth as a unified system, exploring in particular the interactions between the atmosphere, the Earth’s surface, and the rocks beneath our feet. You will also get the opportunity to study how human activity both impacts upon the environment and is transformed by environmental change. This BSc in Environmental Earth Science is your opportunity to study the fascinating intersections between Geology, Physical Geography and Environmental Science. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the natural processes that have shaped the planet through time, and will examine the impact of human activity upon the environment with a view to understanding how best to address modern environmental problems.
Department of Geography & Earth Science (DGES) graduates are highly employable with 97% in work or further study six months after graduating in 2014.
