This new degree will focus on developing the skills needed to establish and operate tourism enterprises that focus on delivering holidays based around outdoor adventure activities. This degree is built on strong business foundations, especially marketing and small business management, which will enable a wide variety of employment options. We are also based in a region where the opportunities for adventure are unparalleled, allowing you to develop your skills and experience to the highest levels.
Modules in the first year are designed to provide the fundamental basis for understanding adventure tourism within the broader tourism industry. As you progress into the second year and third year, this knowledge will then be developed and you will be encouraged to develop your specialism in adventure tourism.
This degree is built on strong business foundations, especially marketing and small business management, which will enable a wide variety of employment options. A unique element of this program is a skills module, designed to be completed with external providers during the summer vacations, which will give a nationally recognised qualification. A work experience module is compulsory for all entering the scheme which will further increase your career prospects.
