On this course you’ll develop your knowledge of the latest developments in sports science while gaining the coaching skills to help athletes of all abilities be the best they can be.
You’ll explore the science of coaching in sport, exercise and rehabilitation, while developing your knowledge of biomechanics, physiology, strength and conditioning, psychology and performance analysis.
You’ll look at sports performance from the perspective of both sports scientist and coach, gaining academic knowledge and practical research skills.
With the oppotunity to take part in cutting-edge research, work placement and volunteering opportunities, you’ll gain the practical and vocational skills for a future career in sports science or performance coaching.
Graduates from this course go on to work in a variety of roles associated with sports science and performance coaching, including applied sport science, PE teaching, sports coaching and further research studies including an MSc or PGCE.
