Overview
The history side of your course covers past societies from the Roman to the Modern period. There are optional modules in Dutch history. The curriculum is designed to involve you in real research projects right from the start. We can teach you the principles of rigorous research, the methods and the practical skills.
Outside the seminar room, you’ll work on projects that bring history to life, like our student-run New Histories blog and WikiAmerica. On the History Workshop module you’ll work alongside an academic on a research project.
You will learn to read, write and speak Dutch. You will also study the culture and society of Dutch-speaking countries. You’ll spend your third year studying at a leading university in the Netherlands.
