This course focuses on developing your oral and written fluency in both French and German to a high standard. You’ll also study the society and culture of both nations.
Our range of modules cover literature, linguistics, society, cinema, business, politics, cultural and gender studies. You can hone your professional skills too, in communicative techniques, presentation skills, transcription, translation and subtitling. Your year abroad will be split between a French-speaking and a Germanic country.
Our graduates go into the civil service, media and advertising, translating and interpreting, business, law, charity, teaching and social work.
