Overview

There are some traditional lectures but you will also attend seminars and workshops, take part in research projects and work on special events like exhibitions and theatre productions.

We focus on developing your spoken and written French to a very high standard. Alongside your language classes, you will study French society and culture form the medieval period to the present.

The course covers literature, linguistics, cinema, business, politics and gender studies. Options include bande dessinée, modern French thought and contemporary theatre. Lectures are in English and French. Small-group language classes are taught by a team of native speakers. You will also do grammar and translation work online.
