Overview

We offer an informal, supportive environment for our students to learn in. Pass rates are high and a large proportion of our students graduate with at least an upper second class degree.

Why choose this course?
Our students are very satisfied – 100% of our students said that they were satisfied with BSc (Hons) Mathematics (National Student Survey 2014).
It is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications which can lead to Chartered Mathematician status following subsequent training and experience.
You will work closely with the School’s Mathematics related research groups, Applied Mathematics and Statistical Modelling.
The School has strong links with local industry so you will benefit from up-to-date/relevant courses and the opportunity of job placements with companies such as IBM and Misys.
Our students have recently formed a ‘Mathematics Society’ and you will have the opportunity to take part in regular events hosted on campus by the local branch of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
