Overview

People and their skills are vital to the success of any organisation. Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a key role in ensuring that businesses develop this critical resource to achieve strategic success. This degree is for you if you are currently working in, or hope to work in, HRM or general management.

Programme structure

Year 1
Students are required to study the following compulsory courses.

Professional Practice 1 (15 credits)
International Business Environment (30 credits)
Managing Organisations and Individuals (30 credits)
Human Resources Metrics (15 credits)
Introduction to Human Resource Management (30 credits)

Year 2
Students are required to study the following compulsory courses.

Professional Practice 2: Communications and Research (15 credits)
Cross Cultural Management and Diversity Management (30 credits)
Human Resource Analytics (15 credits)
Teams in Organisations (15 credits)
Employee Relations and Reward (30 credits)
Employment Law (15 credits)

Year 3
Students are required to study the following compulsory courses.

Dissertation (30 credits)
Career & Professional Practice (15 credits)
Talent Management and Development (30 credits)
Strategic & Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Management (30 credits)

Students are required to choose 15 credits from this list of options.

Leadership in Organisations (15 credits)
Negotiations (15 credits)
