Overview
This degree is structured to provide you with a firm grasp of the science underpinning computer and software technologies through practical experience in developing systems using latest generation technologies. In addition, you will be assisted in developing personal and professional skills to enable you to communicate effectively and make a positive contribution in the workplace across a variety of roles and a wide range of organisations. With a solid background in computer science, you will be in an excellent position to advance to more specialised fields.
Opportunities exist within the programme to take industrial examinations such as Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle and Java certifications. All students are automatically enrolled as student members of the British Computer Society, the chartered body responsible for establishing and maintaining standards in the profession.
