Overview

It is designed to equip graduates of any discipline with the
knowledge and skills needed for a career in the rapidly expanding
field of information technology.

You will develop an understanding of information systems and database
systems, the technology available to support management
decision-making, the role of the internet and communications
technology, and the issues facing IT managers in small, medium and
large organisations.



This Masters in Management of Information Technology we will prepare
you for a career in modern business. As well as compulsory modules you
will also be able to choose from a variety of other modules to tailor
your course for your specific requirements and interests.

The modules studied are:

Database Systems and Administration
IS/IT Change Management (double module)
Systems Development and Procurement (double module)
Research Methods

Plus four more modules chosen from:

  • Computer Systems and Technology
  • Usability
  • Systems Lifecycle and Methods Overview
  • Programming Principles
  • Multimedia Tools and Concepts
  • Object-Oriented Programming
  • E-Commerce Technology (double module)
  • Advanced Topics in Informatics
