In an increasingly competitive world the International Business Law
LLM provides students with the opportunity to critically analyse and
evaluate the laws governing business and international business
The course is suited to law graduates who wish to specialise in
international business law, or graduates in business related
disciplines with some legal knowledge seeking an international
Students can expect to study areas such as:
- International Business Law
- International Trade Law
- International Tax Law
Plus one other area of study chosen from:
- Corporate Rescue and Insolvency
- E-Commerce Law
- Employment Law
Together with modules in Research Skills and Research Design.
Students may study up to two business competencies (in lieu of a
fourth law module) such as:
- Financial Statement Analysis
- Human Resource Management
- Managing in the Business Environment
- Marketing Management
- Strategic Management
Students subsequently complete a research dissertation on a subject
of interest relevant to the programme.
Graduates of this course go into business, industry and commerce here
or in their home countries, some will become lawyers specialising in
International trade, tax etc.
