Overview

This course introduces students to all the key aspects of managing a
company based in the thriving engineering industry. You will also gain
the general management skills necessary for a complete portfolio of
management knowledge.

You will develop an integrated understanding of strategic and
operations management and develop the appropriate intellectual and
personal skills required in a demanding management environment.

This course has been designed with the needs
of full-time students and industrial part-time delegates in mind.

Each course consists of eight taught modules, study skills, research
methods and a project.

The course has the following eight taught modules:

  • Financial Decision Making and Risk Analysis
  • Human Resource Management
  • Lean Operations
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Engineering Strategy
  • Project Management
  • Quality Management and 6 Sigma
  • Sustainability and environmental management systems

In addition the student must satisfactorily complete an individual
project.
