Overview

The story of humanity is the story of our complex relationship with nature. An understanding of past environments and economies is crucial to professional archaeology.

You’ll get intensive training in environmental and economic archaeology.

Designed to prepare you for a PhD, the course also meets the need for skilled specialists within commercial archaeology.

Along the way, you’ll acquire some advanced IT skills. We’ll introduce you to GIS and you’ll use specialist software such as CANOCO, SPSS and TILIA.

You’ll be assessed on coursework assignments and on a dissertation, which you can use as the basis for a PhD.
