Our one year postgraduate taught courses provide an innovative programme of study in which students are challenged to achieve their best; developing specialist skills and knowledge sought after by employers, as well as establishing an ideal background for PhD research.
This course introduces you to the field of biomaterials, and important factors in the selection, design, and development of biomaterials and dental material for clinical applications.
You’ll develop an understanding of biomaterials science, engineering, regenerative medicine and associated specialisms.
There are lectures, seminars and lab classes.
Through group work, presentations and report writing, you’ll develop skills that provide a solid foundation for your professional development.
We’ll give you training in professional research methods and you’ll carry out a project of your own, supervised by an academic. This project gives you the chance to apply what you’ve learnt. It also provides the basis for your dissertation.
