In line with the Teaching and Examination Regulations, students who have not obtained a Flemish degree will need to pay an application fee of 50 euro for each application. The university makes NO exceptions for scholarship students or for students who meet the programme’s academic requirements.Enrolled students will pay the tuition fee minus the application fee of their specific programme. This means that if you enrol after a positive application, the tuition fee will be reduced with the application fee. Paying multiple application fees will not automatically reduce your tuition fee. Please note that additional costs for the bank transfer are the sole responsibility of the applicant

The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
If your documents are not in English, French or Dutch they have to be officially tranlsated (by a sworn translator) into one of these 3 languages
It is required that you send verified copies of the entry qualification documents directly to the university by postal mail. Important! Never send original documents by post!

The LLM offers a unique mixture of European and international, public and business law in the following fields:
- EU Institutional Framework and Judicial Protection
- EU Economic Law
- External relations
- Globalization, International Law & Sustainable Development
- International and European Protection of Human Rights
- European and International Competition Law
- International Economic Law and Organizations
- International and Comparative Law
The LLM in International and European law is a one-year 60 ECTS Advanced Master’s degree obtained in one academic year (i.e. two semesters of four months each, from end September until early July). It is a demanding full-time day programme which is composed of compulsory courses and two specialisation options: Public Law or Business Law. Students also have to carry out legal research as part of their Master’s thesis (worth 18 ECTS credits).
