Overview

This programme provides a strong focus on international justice and accountability mechanisms as well as developing a critical awareness of competing analytical frameworks, including law, politics and criminology. A global network of human rights organisations has reached maturity and the protection of the rights of individuals and vulnerable groups has resulted in the growth of a complex system of international justice, including the International Criminal Court, special tribunals, regional courts and truth commissions.

The programme offers you an opportunity to explore and study established and rapidly developing areas of law by taking both an academic and professional approach to the subject. It caters for a variety of individuals, from recent undergraduates who want to acquire specialist knowledge as part of their legal education, to practising lawyers and public sector employees who wish to supplement their work with further legal study.
