Overview

This integrated course includes content from the undergraduate BEng degree, in addition to postgraduate degree content. Students will graduate with a masters degree (MEng) upon completion.

The programme will prepare you to be creative and innovative in addressing challenges from the implementation of the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0.

This course is for those students interested in developing their careers in areas of both theoretical and practical aspects of mechatronics engineering, with emphasis on implementation of practical design and development of mechatronics systems. This course also provides excellent preparation for students wishing to continue their study to doctoral level research.

The course has been designed to create effective multi-disciplinary engineers who have acquired the necessary creative, technical and research skills to work within the broad spectrum of modern industry.

This course will equip you with advanced knowledge of mechatronics engineering, including optimal and intelligent mechatronics system design and development. The course will also cover engineering management and explore pioneering approaches in this field – encouraging students to solve both real-world and research-orientated problems.

The course has been designed to be accredited by the Engineering Council through the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Institution of Mechanical Engineering (iMechE), and/or the Energy Institute.
