Explore the ways in which the visual and literary arts have engaged with society over time and the ways in which they are evolving our world.
Examine the tradition of art and visual culture, and its evolution from the Renaissance to the present. You will study the written word from medieval to modern times, investigating topics ranging from the literary culture of Chaucer to the interrelation of literature and digital technology.
You will study original sources first-hand in the Barber Institute of Fine Arts and in our Special Collections, which contain over 60,000 rare and early printed books, with over 2 million manuscripts and archive items.
