Overview

On our Data Science for Health programme you will develop a sound knowledge of data generation, data handling and computational analysis. Benefiting from Surrey’s new £12.5m Innovation for Health Learning Laboratory, you will gain the skills to create computer models that will help to transform the healthcare landscape.

Our Data Science for Health degree has the dual benefits of equipping you for a career at the forefront of innovation in the data lifecycle, and developing your understanding of its application to the healthcare industry. You will get plenty of opportunity to apply theory to real-world scenarios and may – like many of our students – opt to take a Professional Training placement year, giving you invaluable industry experience.

The degree is part of Surrey’s pioneering Innovation for Health programme, designed to bring together computer, data and health scientists to meet the challenges of an ageing population and changing patterns of disease, developing technologies that will facilitate improvements in healthcare.
