Degree-level maths is about finding ways to answer big questions. This course will allow you to specialise in statistics, while continuing to develop your general mathematical knowledge.
You’ll learn data analysis and computing skills and will have the opportunity to apply your skills in project work.
The course includes statistics, probability, core mathematics, pure mathematics and applied mathematics, with increasing emphasis on statistics and probability as you progress.
In the fourth year, you’ll complete your own extended project.
Many of our graduates use their numerical and analytical skills for careers in finance, such as accountancy, actuarial work, public finance and insurance.
Other career destinations include teaching, advertising, operations research and meteorology. Our graduates also go onto further study at masters and PhD level.
