Degree-level maths is about finding ways to answer big questions. You will look at how mathematicians have tried to answer similar questions in the past. You will also learn how to construct a logical argument with reasoned conclusions.
The course includes core mathematics, pure mathematics, applied mathematics and probability and statistics. As you progress, there are more and more opportunities to specialise.
Many of our graduates use their numerical and analytical skills for careers in finance, such as accountancy, actuarial work, public finance and insurance.
Other career destinations include teaching, advertising, operations research and meteorology. Our graduates also go onto further study at masters and PhD level.
