We were the first UK university to offer a specialist degree in marketing communications and we have continued to develop our portfolio since then. We have recently redesigned this degree in collaboration with employers and marketing professional bodies, allowing us to keep up to date with digital trends.
This degree will provide you with relevant skills and in addition, a valuable marketing industry qualification. In your first year, you will gain a strong foundation in essential marketing principles.
You will build on these skills in Year 2 with an emphasis on marketing management and customer insight. Year 3 takes a strategic perspective and introduces direct, digital and internet marketing.
You will learn to analyse target audiences and implement integrated marketing communications campaigns. You will work on live briefs from a variety of organisations, including the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.
Sector specialisms in Digital Marketing or Advertising are available for students wanting an endorsed degree.
Graduates may find careers as advertising account executives organising advertising campaigns, social media managers engaging with social media channels, marketing executives promoting products and services and copywriters communicating business messages. Many more opportunities exist in branding, market research and consultancy.
We are currently NOT ACCEPTING applications from NON-EU countries, except Georgia and Serbia.
