Overview
This degree provides an analysis of the experiences of childhood and youth. It uses the subject disciplines of sociology, psychology and history to explore childhood, and will provide you with opportunities to specialise in your chosen areas.
If you are passionate about social change and want to be part of creating a better future for the next generation, this degree gives you the opportunity to study social enterprise. Here you will explore setting up your own social enterprise to help solve some of the challenges young people face, with the ultimate goal of graduating with an established enterprise and full-time employment.

Career opportunities
This programme provides a sound preparation for postgraduate study in primary and early years teaching, social work and children’s nursing, as well as academic study to an MA or PhD. Career opportunities exist in education, health and social care, local government and community settings as well as in the early years sector, social enterprise, youth and community and play therapy.
