Overview
Drama at Greenwich offers a rich and supportive environment to study the practice and theory of theatre. We acknowledge the diverse contexts in which drama occurs and the creative challenges it inspires. We have excellent facilities including our own Bathway theatre site, a 100 seat capacity, fully equipped theatre as well as 6 studios spaces for teaching and rehearsal.
Modules range widely from contemporary performance skills to historical and modern dramatic literature. Specific performance practices such as applied drama, physical theatre and performance making are embedded in the programme, with other options available including playwriting. All courses combine theory and practice and provide students with opportunities to develop their performance skills, improve their writing and public speaking, acquire technical expertise and experiment with new approaches to theatre performance and research. Students engage in theatre-making as performers, writers, stage technicians and directors throughout their degree.
