This course develops broad business skills while also offering a specialist pathway in marketing management that starts after the first semester.
Specialist modules cover buyer behaviours, brand dynamics and relationship marketing in a global context. You’ll develop your research skills through a master’s dissertation or an investigative consultancy project.
Different specialist modules are available with our MSc Business with Management with Marketing, which is a two-year course, although commonality exists in terms of the Marketing input.
There is no requirement to have studied business or marketing management at undergraduate level.
The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was ‘Business School of the Year’ at The Times Higher Education Awards 2015.
Our graduates typically go into professional and graduate management positions and, by the end of the course, you’ll be well-equipped to follow them. Thanks to the specialist modules – Analysing Buyer Behaviour and Brand Dynamics, Relationship Marketing in a Global Context, and the dissertation/consultancy project – you’ll have a particular edge in roles related to marketing.
If you decide to start up your own business, it’s good to know that the combined turnover of our graduates’ start-up companies is higher than that of any other UK university.
The course could also lead you to a postgraduate research degree such as an MPhil, PhD and Professional Doctorate.
